A message from Ashif Hakik
So to everyone wondering where my updates are regarding how to sleep on the job,...Sorry,..but I've noticed now that most people know how already,..and I can learn a few things from everyone else on the subject :) Anyhow,..I put a few new peces that I'm working on at MP3.com,... if you have some time check them out, they aren't great pieces,..but they are ideas I'm toying with when I stray from working,..or gearing up the computer. I'll probably be regularly updating this stuff, and try to get a basic library of music up there for everyone to hear.. Maybe even some Voice/Comedy skits. And don't eat too much snow this season all you trendy extreme sports freaks... Click here for link.

Death of a Console? from fgnonline.com
N64: As we reported yesterday, big name retailers are dropping N64 prices like hot potatoes. EB World has had the Atomic Purple bundle as well as the Star Wars bundle at just $90 for several weeks. Now even the most ardent Nintendo fanatic is facing up to the beginning of the end for the "Fun Machine". Even though it relies on N64 for its professional life, IGN64 is sounding N64's death knell today. Having done the rounds of retailers and developers the Nintendo site has posted a special report on the fast decline of N64. The most damning statement comes from Boss Games' Technical Director Rob Povey, "The N64 market has not been lucrative for developers for the last 12 months. I'd say it's dead," says Povey. "I mean, honestly, Dreamcast killed it. It would probably have died anyway, but Dreamcast killed it."

Donovan's Second Job by 7 Layer Pimp
It has been rumored for quite some time now, as many within the gaming industry have also wondered. "Where does Donovan Soto, dashing and debonaire person of much acclaim, get the money to afford such extravagant items of luxury?! Clearly not only from his current place of employment. But.... from where?!?" I, your friendly neighborhood 7 Layer Pimp, have gone digging to the depths of all that is loathsome and mind bending to find out where: At "The Blue Oyster"!! Apparantly, he is a "private services manager" for members of the same gender. Here, as shown below, we see one of Mr. Soto's personal favorite models in his "Please Me, Tease Me" attire. As we can all witness for ourselves, Mr. Soto seems to have a penchant for 80's TV sci-fi heroes. I can hear Donovan now, "Bidi- bidi- bidi- bidi- bidi-... love them chest hairs, Buck."

A Message From Al (Don't call me Dunkin) Dutton
I'm a full time employee at 3DO now. I'm currently leading two Army Men projects and trying to write the script for "something" similar, and my daughter Brandis is a lead on multiple titles as well. She is leading the PAL testing on the PSX titles that we produce at 3DO. Too bad Pentek didn't have the brains to hire her when he had her resume. Sony's loss, is 3DOs gain.

The End of an Era by Rob Hernandez
Just thought I'd inform you guys (since you are the foremost news men within SONY and 989) that a legend has been dethroned. Yes, it's true. Eddie (Shit is Tight) Ramirez, resident Madden master has lost his title. The event occurred on Thursday Dec. 23rd in an 42-21 loss to newly hired Brian McKibben(temp). And, according to Brian, Eddie's last two touchdowns were "sympathy touchies!" Brian tested Madden over at EA and has a rumored 400+ hours testing the title. What is going wrong with the world these days?! First Nick quits. Then Eddie gets wupped on. Can anyone say... Y2K?!
