Julius is MIA
In typical Julius fashion, he flew to Portland this weekend to attend Tom Tobey's wedding party. However, he was never to be seen. As Tom returned home, he checked his answering machine and found the Julius had arrived in Portland with Willie's Ex, Miki Higuchi, and has yet to return home. He hasn't reported to work and the authorities are investigating his whereabouts.

This Website is Weak against the Power
Well, they were right about having a surprise for me. I can count out all of my closer friends because they couldn't get my phone # right. But since everyone has my address, I'm having a barbeque/poker game next weekend! Jesse Caceres has already promised to show up and I, for one, and hoping that this soon-to-be-Legend in the games field will bring his "danger" girl. I will see you next week! Well, Let's see who's watching
Apparently Sony sent Amy Kingma, a Nelson rep who hires temps for Sony, to E3. She got to attend the Sony party, and Sony had hired temps down in LA to work E3. Nobody from 1st party was even asked to work the show, and working the show was a requirement to go to the party if you were from 1st party. lame eh? But Amy Kingma, who technically isn't even a Sony employee went to both. Thanks again, Sony. Charles DeLay will be leaving at the end of the month. He works for some company in the IT department, and will be quitting here at the end of May. Other rumors include Chris Caprio trying to convince Sony to allow him to run the show here like Mark Pentek once did. Another is that Tim Duzmal may become the next Manager. Actually, Conner or Tim may be next. Let's hope for the best.

Chris Seahafer Leaves SCEA
He left editorial work in May of 98 and joined Sony to work in 3rd Party. His first duty was to attend the E3 show in Atlanta the same year, actually the same day he started at SCEA. Today he leaves SCEA to join the Real Network and teach Streaming video a lesson in gaming. Of all the great things he has done for SCEA, he is best known for organizing the Sony-wide Gameday 98 Tournament.

Arne Cual goes Super Sonic
Metal Gear Solid 2 was probably the most talked about at the show, but one of the behind the scenes stories not posted anywhere is the story about Sonic and Arne Cual. As many people know, Arne was one of the reps responsible for showing and demostrating Dreamcast games to the press. One of her other duties was to walk the show floor and Arne was seen with the infamous Sonic the Hedgehog. Many eyewitnesses talk of the couple's stroll. Alben, Arne's "current" boyfriend, was quoted as saying, "I'm not threatened by him. I'm more MAN than he is. Anyway, it's all about gameplay." No one understood what Alben meant but knew that his Claims were usually un-met. thegamelord.com was lucky to get Arne's comments, "Sonic or Big Blue as the girls call him is a little too fast for me, even faster than Alben." Among the many priority things to do at the E3, one remains high on the list. "Getting a Sony E3 Party Pass." This is the toughest things to get and it's nearly possible to imagine what people will do to get them. Ebay recently had a Sony Party Pass for sale at $2750 by Guy of SCEA. However, a couple of young men find a way to get this pass from Mr. Jay Beard. Cupid is amazingly photographed next to Jay. The Truth Unveiled
In today's Fatbabies Forum, a person named Super Snoop and Sherlock claim to know the identity of the fatbabies crew. The detectives claim that after posting some accusations to the Fatbabies Forum, they had their stories pulled and their IP addresses blocked from the Forum. At first glance, Fatslicky seemed pretty cool and pushed the accusations aside. However, further messages show a breaking down of defenses and we may actually see Super Snoop and Sherlock post the identities.

April Fools Day, Baby!
It gets weirder and wierder. Rumors around SCEA are flying about who the FatStory was written by. The latest is that Mark Pentek may be the culprit. Many of you know that he was the king of complainers and held no fondness for anyone, especially Producers, at 989 Studios. His strange departure from SCEA only weeks after his promotion to Director and then to take a lesser job at another company makes this whole theory, food for thought.

Jet-X Email
I just received an email from Jet-X.com
"Having just read the story over on Fatbabies.com (they actually updated their website..???), I can't help but chuckle with amusement. Sure, I think overall it was pretty funny story, what story on their site isn't (when they actually update it). But not only are there gross errors (obvious errors that could have been easily checked for accuracy), the story really just skims the surface of events that took place at 989. That leads me to the next point that will disappoint those that read it: Jet-X had nothing to do with the story. I know that is dissappointing for some readers, and it's easy to see where the finger could have been pointed at me (ahem.....the "event" that took place last week). But, those who have been in the industry a reasonable amount of time know how small it is, and how easy it is to become "black-listed" with other companies. And I for one would never have named names, especially our former President. We've seen what Kelly is capable of, and that in and of itself is reason enough not to get involved. Kelly is like the "Terminator", you live in fear of him (if he knows who you are!) no matter where he is ! As the Gamelord pointed out, there were a lot of errors in the story, and was vague at best. While Jet-X didn't have anything to do with the story, we're also NOT going to begin pointing fingers. After all, it sucks having your name plastered everywhere with bad publicity, and Jet-X won't contribute to it. Besides, Jet-X has no idea who it could be. There is certainly enough employees (current and ex-) as well as the other building that could have contributed some information. Regardless, there are some (you know exactly who you are!) that have already placed blame, tried, and convicted Jet-X regardless of the truth. Shame on you. Besides, I think the question on everyone's mind is what was the point with the whole Phil Harrison thing anyway ? "Jet-X can't post this info on our site, otherwise I'll get 1,000 emails from plane geeks asking if this response is really a hidden code for a new release by Jet-X"

Addendum to Sherri Suto Avoids Cops story
Sherri Claims that the story printed earlier was not entirely true. Sherri claims that Dave Lee is responsible for the pull-over because he was asked to see if any cars were around but he said no and failed to see a cop that was only 2 feet away? Talk about blind! Plus Sherri had some visitors from Japan in her car and they thought it was hilarious and wanted to take pictures of the cop.

Sega announced there will be a Visual Memory mini game in Sega GT Homologation Special, called Homo Pocket, featuring a collection of mini games, such as Driver Promotion simulation, in which you can train your own drivers in this game, after his levels are improved, you can bring him back to the Dreamcast. There is also a Prize Game in which you can earn money after winning the matches, which you can use toward upgrading your vehicles in the actual game. Sega GT: Homologation Special is scheduled to release in Japan on February 17.
