Mischief's Corner

A Saturday Night It was the best of times; it was the worst of times. A time of missing players, and I time of lost souls returning home. (Don't forget, for purposes of humor this author tends to exaggerate.) Well, it all started with the typical Friday announcement of gaming on Saturday. The projected turnout was in the very low category (terror alert gray). We knew BadKitty was off playing piano in San Jose, we knew KrazyKarl was having health issues, and we know Poison and MrsPoison have their new baby. That meant the lineup would be limited to Bunny'sFan, Pisser, and the kids. Turnout so bad that yours truly was not even planning on attending. But who shows up? Starfury and a mystery guest, so I had to go. --Begin Flashback Sequence-- The last time we had gaming night, about a month ago, our new buddy Clinton showed up. BadKitty said that she was responsible for his appearance because she had been wondering what had happened to him. She also said that she would next think about HamHawk. --End Flashback Sequence-- Yes that's right. The mystery guest was HamHawk. It has been over a year since we have last seen him, and it was good to see him again. In terms of turnout, things were looking good. In terms of gaming, we attempted a little Battle for Middle Earth, but only three computers met the minimum requirements. So we settled on 2on2 and sometimes 2on3 CounterStrike (primarily with only me, HawHawk, StarFury, and the kids playing). Bunny'sFan volunteered to attempt to cd-fix the Rachel computer, de-virus the Rachel computer, and finally to evaluate the many dumpster-diving bits and pieces that Pisser had accumulated. The evening ended on a high note as we all gathered around the television to watch the cinematic classic Joe Dirt. --Mischief
