"How can it be almost three in the morning," he thought to himself. Usually Game Night breaks up between midnight and one am. This night was a little different, but at the end we were having so much fun that we didn't want to stop.
It all started with dinner. Thanks to BunnysFan and the poll attached to this weekly column, we had an easy determination of where to go for dinner. And no surprises, it turned out to be Primary. We were somewhat concerned though because HeadShot orders the honey walnut prawns but once again he was a no show. Good thing Poison was in time for dinner, as he admirably filled in.
Back to the CrazyHouse and we wanted to try the critically acclaimed Brothers in Arms. Some people had trouble loading it up, but we finally had four computers that could play it. It turns out we only needed four computers because that is the total number of players the multiplayer will support. The game looks good. The single player is fun to play. But only four players allowed for multiplayer? That's crap.
We then tried to play Source. Again some computers were having problems. So that was a no go.
Next was Call of Duty. CoD looks good. Plays ok. But it's missing the hook that makes a really great game. Sure the replay of your death is a nice touch. Whether it's the lack of interesting missions, or the restrictions on weapons, or maybe it's because I miss the shopping of CounterStrike. I have to give this game the thumbs down.
Finally to the game of games, ConditionZero. Tonight's installment featured a 100% attendance of SometimesBunny (who has turned the corner. I think she has finally figured out which weapon suits her style of play. One time BunnysFan was shooting her up, SometimesBunny wasn't even looking at BF, but she turned, saw him, and killed him. BF was so astounded and angered that he took off his headphones and slammed them into his keyboard.), your usual Mischief, BunnysFan, BadKitty, Pisser, an appearance by Poison, and two newbies via Pisser. Time just slipped away until we discovered it was three in the morning and Pisser mysteriously kicked us out.
All in all even though we were missing HeadShot again and SuperNovice (who was recently upgraded to regular status) it was a fantastic Game Night.
