Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.
Due to the absence of my so 'editor' (he said he went to the E3
show) there was no Mischief's Corner last week. As he has
returned we can continue with the adventures of Mischief and his
cast of zany characters.
Where to begin? Well loyal reader you have missed two LAN Gaming nights. Yes,
after Pisser warned us that Saturday night gaming was about to end, we have had
Gaming Night two weeks in a row, and we are going for three in a row this Saturday. At
GN we learned that if you try to complete a fill in the blank music lyric quiz
with Krazy Karl in the room, then you will be subject to him attempting to sing
the songs (http://www.yetanotherdot.com/asp/80s.html). We learned
that one of our favorite cats is among the members of the Infinite Cat Project
(see cat #38 at Click
here: Mike Stanfill, Private Hand - The Infinite Cat Project). And
we learned that the rookies always have a poorer sense of recognition and that
they will always try to shoot their own teammates. I do propose a solution
for you veterans.
Mischief's Tip Number One: If you are running along with a rookie trailing
you, do not run so fast that you outrun said rookie. Because, say you
turn around to find your lost rookie, the moment you come in visual sight of
him, he will undoubtedly try to shoot you. The good news is their aim
is not that good so half the time they will miss hitting you. So don't
run so fast, or when you do outrun your rookie, keep running and leave him
in the dust.
Another event of interest. Your favorite roller hockey team finished with
a winning record, 6 wins and 4 losses. Slow Motion then went on to win
their playoff game against the Growlers who they had lost too twice during the
regular season. The championship game was played on Tuesday night against
Sub Zero, this is the other team Slow Motion was unable to beat during the season. It
was a close and well fought game. After one period, Sub Zero was up 1-0. During
the second period, Slow Motion was able to tie the game at 1-1. In the
overtime period that followed, neither team was able to score a goal. This
led to a 8 man shootout. Each team selected four players. One at
a time each player tried to score against the opposing team's goalie. Your
favorite player Mischief, was the only player from Slow Motion who scored. Unfortunately,
two of their players scored goals, so Sub Zero stole the championship away from
Slow Motion in a heartbreaking shootout loss. Oh well, there's always next
season.
And finally, let's all wish Bunny a Happy Birthday. On May 20th,
she turns 23.
