It was a night of guns and driving.
It was a night of chaos and destruction.
It was a night of yelling and swearing.
And no, I'm not talking about a night aboard the Peace Bus.
The night began with a trip to a Super Novice selected eating establishment, a new restaurant in the neighborhood, Chipotle. After some minor driving complications, the gang arrived. The menu is basically your choice of burrito. The restaurant is kind of set up like a cafeteria and the line moves quickly. Food is excellent, and they have my favorite accessory, a self serve soda machine.
Back at the Crazy House, we finally played many of the much talked about 'new' maps. Last week we were enticed to play Counter Strike, but out of all the maps we played, there was only one new one. This Game Night featured a ton of new maps. Some were good, others we will never see again. Although, the nature of the mapcycle is such that we never really know what maps we will see.
The last game of the evening was Flat Out. Ever since my extremely poor showing at the Flat Out tournament, it seems my daily practice as finally paid off. This driving game is great. You can crash into the other players, and you can watch them crash themselves. Since I'm such a pro, and everyone else has either not played or barely played, first place is all mine. This is an excellent addition to our stable of games and provides a good change of pace from CS.
The most important event of the night was the debut of the exciting prequel to my last short film. You can see it here click here for video. A special thanks goes out to all those involved in it's production and distribution. Stay tuned for the final installment of the trilogy, due out sometime next year.
