You probably can't tell by the scores that i've given Battlefield 2
that, I LOVE THIS GAME! No, the graphics aren't the best. The sounds
all blend together and there are weird distortions in sound per
distance spectrum. And the story line is practically non-existant. But
f*** me silly if this isnt the most fun I've had playing a video game
in a long long time.
Battlefield 2 is a first person shooter in which each player represents a specialized class of soldier representing one of three separate nations. Each class has its own variety of weapons and/or special functions: medic, engineer, sniper, etc... and each nation carries its own brand of weapons. The playing area is vast and can be quite intimidating. Most of the common weapon systems found in a modern arsonal are represented in the game: jets, helicopters, transport vehicals, tanks, etc.. giving the individual soldier a wide variety of situations he must face and overcome if he or she is to survive on the modern battlefield. And the built in point system encourages teamwork which is vital in winning battles.
Game play is variable: the pace of the game is based soley on the aggressiveness of the players. Command and control is simple and effective. There isn't much of a story line. But that doesn't really hold much weight for this type of game. Because if you want to know what I think, "Doesn't matter what I think. When that first bullet goes whizzing past your head, all the politics just go out the window" -BHD The sounds are kind of dull and there's a weird distance distortion when you're on a slope, but when there are literally hundreds of bullets flyin through the air, i can give the designers a little slack. Same goes with the graphics. The scale of the game along with the variety of weapons more than make up for the lack of detail in the crawling over ledges or the fact that everyone wears a parachute.
My only grip with this game would be the 'balancing' of vehicals. Certain vehicals have been toned down for balanced game play. Let the wookie win. Maybe balance the game using an odd number of vehicles.
Overall, this is one great game and would be a great addition to any FPS collection.

| Replay Value High by Not so Anonymous Karl 9.24.05 |
I'd definetly rank the replay value on BF2 in the A, A- category. I'm still playing it and there hasn't been one new online map yet.

what game do you think deserves a better replay value over BF2 besides any of the Counter-strikes?

I reckon BF2 does lack in some departments and replay value is one of them.
As you all should know, Reviews are based on one's oppinion and everyne has their oppinion so therefor reviews on the same game will vary depending on the reviewers oppinion.
I beleive a B+ for replay value is what BF2 should get, it's still good but not the best.

| Bullshit on Replay Value Rating by Rating Cop 9.20.05 |
You rated Replay Value a B+ but everyone knows you have the most hours on that game over any other games you own.
This can easily be proved by going to www.bf2s.com.
Therefore, your rating is Bullshit.
